چکیده
Methods for removing pollutants include membrane isolation, ion exchange, precipitation, transformation, and biosorption. Adsorption is a cost-effective method of treating industrial wastewater common commercial concentrating valuable molecules or eliminating contaminants. Banana peel one the largest underutilized agricultural wastes in Malaysia. A novel using low-cost biosorbent made from banana Evans blue (EB) dye as target this study. The optimal conditions EB adsorption occurred at concentration 200 mg/L, adsorbent dosages between 10 20 g/L, temperature 25 °C, incubation time 180 min, agitation speeds 100 rpm. Statistical discriminatory analysis showed that pseudo-second-order kinetic model Redlich–Petersen isotherm were best models. maximum capacity based on Langmuir’s prediction was 58.51 mg g−1. non–linear regression thermodynamic van’t Hoff plot dimensionless equilibrium constant resulted negative values Gibb’s free energy enthalpy, indicating process spontaneous exothermic.

Removal of Basic Blue 159 from Aqueous Solution Using Banana Peel as a Low-Cost Adsorbent
In this paper, the adsorption of Basic Blue159 (BB159) onto banana peel as a low-cost material was studied. At first, the banana peel was sieved. Later, banana peel particles were characterized by field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM), energy dispersive x-ray spectroscopy (EDXS) and Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) techniques. Batch adsorption experiments were carried out as a fu...

In this study, montmorillonite clay was used as the adsorbent for the removal of Aniline Blue dye, from aqueous solution by the batch adsorption technique under different conditions. The maximum removal of aniline blue dye for initial dye concentration 20 mg/L was more than 95% at optimum conditions (pH=4.5, contact time=30 min, and adsorbent dosage=2 g/L). The data of this study were fitted wi...
متن کاملStudy of Banana Peel (Musa sapientum) as a Cationic Biosorbent
The efficacy of the Banana peel (Musa sapientum) biomass was tested for the removal of lead, copper, zinc and nickel metal ions using batch experiments in single and binary metal solution under controlled experimental conditions. It is found that metal sorption increases when the equilibrium metal concentration rises. At highest experimental solution concentration used (150 mg/L), the removal o...
متن کاملSynthesis of Nano-Titanium Tannate as an adsorbent for Crystal Violet Dye, Kinetic and Equilibrium Isotherm Studies
The purpose of this study was to prepare nano-titanium tannate complex (TTC) and to investigate its adsorption capacity for removal of cationic dyes such as crystal violet (CV) dye. The morphology and the main elements of TTC adsorbent were characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM-EDS), while its crystal structure was characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD). Also, FT-IR spectroscopy ...
